I spent several hours this afternoon watching for passing migrants in my
backyard in eastern Jefferson County and was not disappointed. Steady
stream of Broad-winged Hawks and some other FOS birds but was disappointed
not to find any Ospreys. Most interesting was a quite tardy Sandhill Crane
that passed over very low. Can only assume the bird wasn't in perfect
health.

Broad-winged Hawk - 43 (most singles and many beyond naked eye).
Cooper's Hawk - 2
Accip sp - 2
Red-tailed Hawk - 2 (local)
Lots of both vultures, some might have been migrants
Common Loon - 4 (2+1+1)
Sandhill Crane - 1
Chimney Swift - 2 (FOS)
Barn Swallow - 2 (FOS)
Eastern Meadowlark - 1 (Dropped in, sang 3 times, then headed north)
Blue-winged Warbler - 1 (FOS)
Sunburn - (FOS) :(
