We’ve had a few calling around Franklin county this week, thank goodness.
Several at Josephine Sculpture Park (new bluebird trail, check it out), Peiffer
fish hatchery and here at home.
As a side note, we watched a sharp-shinned hawk taking a bath in a puddle in a
wet crop field next to the fish hatchery today. First time for that.

My sister who lives on the family farm in Harrison county (bluegrass region),
just texted me “bluebirds everywhere” is the word. She had several all winter
at the heated waterer, found none dead in boxes, and says her cedar thicket
is alive with them. Always good number in the area.
