I was watching a pair of Blue Headed Vireos interacting in what could only be
described as a mating display.
One, presumably the male, would puff out its chest feathers making him look
bulkier. Feathers were coming out and up around the wing primaries. Anytime
they'd move to another branch he'd ruffle up the feathers so they'd puff up in
this manner. At one stage he was below the female swaying form one side of a
branch to another keeping the head facing her. Intermittently they'd peck at
each others beaks and then they moved on.
There was also a few Pine Siskin in the cemetery.
