This morning seemed too damp and cold to venture out much. I did get out enough
to check the stable, where I continue to see owl signs, but no currently
viewable owls. As I was doing that, several Starlings lit in one of the yard
dogwoods and mopped up its remaining berries. They then joined a mixed flock of
several hundred blackbirds in the wheat field just across Watermelon Road. I’ve
viewed the plastic sack in that field numerous times and have yet to persuade
it to be a Snowy Owl. It photo-bombed the blackbirds this morning.
