My wife and I headed over to the Nature Conservancy's Pine Creek Barrens NP to
check out birds and mushrooms. Ended up with more mushroom species (more than
12) than bird species (only nine). Somehow missed Red-breasted Nuthatch, which
I was expecting.
Then headed over to Mt Carmel Church Rd to look for the Golden Eagles that have
been seen there. Had one eagle fly over that I managed to get several shots of,
but unsure if it was a Golden. Anyone want to weigh in?

When we decided to move on up the road the car would not start. Not a good
feeling stuck out on a remote road with no cell phone signal. But, it was a hot
spot for Golden Eagles, and along came a couple of fellow birders. Thanks again
Andrew Melnykovych for having jumper cables along and getting us back on the
road!
