I walked the loop at Bee Rock, Pulaski County side yesterday. It's always an enjoyable day when I'm walking a trail in the Daniel Boone NF. Most of the warblers have nearly stopped singing, but the Hoodeds just keep going and going.

Vireo's: Yellow-throated, White-eyed, Red-eyed and Blue-headed.

Warblers: Northern Parula, Black-throated Green, Yellow-throated, Black-and-White, Worm-eating, Swainson's (2 heard singing and another pished into view. I later saw one with food in the same area),Kentucky and Hooded (38 of them according to the counter. Someone recently told me it was called a tally whacker.)

Thanks to Lana Hays I received the report on the Ruff when I got home in time to make the run up to see it before dark. That's one wild looking shorebird!

Birding smiles. . . . .
