Bridge has been chasing the Barn Swallows the entire time they’ve been feeding
their 4 young. They seem to indulge him, sweeping back and forth over his head
in front of the stable, barely missing him with each pass. I noticed yesterday
afternoon that 2 of the young were no longer on the nest, but didn't see them
anywhere else. This morning, as I was taking the hay mower off the tractor, I
needed an additional old tire to place under the blade to keep it level. The
spot where some old tires are stored is near the swallow nest. When I went to
get one, I first noticed that the last two were off the nest, then noticed that
all four were perched on a low wall beam. When they saw me looking at them, all
four flew by me and out the front entrance of the stable. They should be safe
from Bridge now.
