Despite the foggy, misty, and cold weather, the Louisville CBC recorded 93
species and had 45 participants. The total # of individuals (68443) was boosted
by Starlings (52844), Grackles (2000) and Robins(4762).We had higher counts of
many species, maybe due to the fact that we had more participants this year.
A few highlights -
Snow Goose - 1
Green-winged Teal -97
Black Vulture - 65 compared to Turkey Vulture 15
E. Screech Owl - 4
Merlin - 2
Peregrine Falcon - 4
Bald Eagle - 7
Yellow-b Sapsucker - 16
W. Snipe - 1
Bl-cr. Night Heron - 1 (last year 9)
Blue Jay - 235
Br. Creeper - 50
A. Pipit - 8
A complete list of birds will be submitted to the Kentucky Warbler and Audubon
Society.
