Oh, no, not that!!!
What would we do without nature? I never want to know!

Now Joyce, isn’t this a slippery slope? It is VERY important that you
except the will of the majority! We don’t want to hear next that you’re
pushing a recount and blabbering about it on a Steve Bannon podcast!
I’m sorry… maybe it’s too soon for jokes about this incessant nonsense, but
it helps to keep from crying.

Feathers were flying today...Bald eagle - out! Eastern Bluebird - gone!
Wood Thrush - kaput! 131 birders voted for their favorite Kentucky
breeders! Results are posted in the new bracket at
http://birdky.org/index.html, including the winners' voting percentages.
Some crowd favorites are gone, for sure.
Tomorrow...on to the Elite 8vian! Can two owls make the Final Four? Can our
two flashiest woodpeckers persevere?? Only you can decide. Keep voting!
Also tomorrow, the full virtual meeting opens for Day One. There's a LOT
going on. (Don't forget, we have a live keynote speaker Saturday evening at
6:00 pm CDT / 7:00 pm EDT)
As previously mentioned, I will keep an unofficial statewide weekend bird
list, from midnight tonight through midnight Sunday. Enter your birds on
eBird as usual, or contact me in person if you'd rather. There is a link to
our statewide weekend list on the virtual meeting site; the first version
of the list should appear around mid-day tomorrow. I'll keep updating it
through the weekend. Get out there and find something good!
Thanks for everyone's participation so far.
More tomorrow,
