We are having more than our fair share of babies as well. Lots of juvenile
Downy, Hairy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Brown Thrashers, Chickadees, Northern
Cardinals, Mockingbirds, and Starlings. We replenish our suet cakes daily,
sometime twice a day! It's been a great spring/summer for birds in our backyard
for sure!

We are having more than our share of baby birds being feed at our feeding area!
Eastern Towhees, brown thrashers, red-bellied woodpeckers, blue jays, and many
more. The suet cakes disappear very rapidly, as well as peanut butter. A second
brood of towhees and Thrashers have shown up and are learning the “tricks of
the trade” from Mommy and Daddy. There have been few surprises lately, just
old timers singing all around, like the wonderful wood thrushes. And, they
serenade dawn to dusk, ever so sweetly.
Cheers,
Joan of Art and Nature (Carr), Pike Co.
