For the third time in the last nine days I've found a Merlin in Louisville.
Certainly possible they are the same one or two individuals, but who knows!
The first was on December 12th in Seneca Park, the second on River Road on
the 17th, and today while walking my dogs I noticed one near the top of a
tree eating something. I briskly walked home, grabbed my camera and drove
back over to confirm it's ID (I thought it possibly could have been a fat
kestrel, I didn't have binoculars on the dog walk) It was a Merlin! See
