Several times lately a Barn Owl has perched atop the loft doorway either
pre-dawn or post sunset. I seemed to have zero hope of persuading camera to
focus on it in such low light. Camera shows a yellow question mark when it
can’t figure out any focal point. This afternoon, I persuaded camera to focus
on owl by placing the central focal square on the spot where the roof meets the
sky, rather than on the owl and used a shutter speed of 1/4 second. The picture
isn’t good, but you can tell it’s a Barn Owl.
