A small personal milestone was reached when I logged in my 200th species from
Kentucky.....a Yellow bellied flycatcher from Anchorage Trail, last week.As
some of you may know, I only began birding and logging lists 10 months
ago....since November 2018. In the process, I must have driven a lot of you
crazy with the thousands of pictures that I have regularly posted. But....
those pictures have helped experts among you correct me when I have made
mistakes and hence maintain an accurate identification record.Along the way, a
lot of you have helped me learn and become a better birder....I owe a debt of
gratitude to you all. However, two people in particular have taken the time to
go over my lists in greater detail and educate me every time I have erred. One
of these is our current KOS president James Wheat. Thanks a lot James for your
constant help and guidance.But....the one person who has really helped me
immensely and perhaps reviewed each of my thousands of photos and patiently
corrected me and guided me is our Regional Reviewer...Roseanna Denton. Words
cannot express the gratitude I owe her for her Encyclopedic knowledge and
tutelage that I have been the beneficiary of! Roseanna---U-da-best!
See you all at the KOS meeting. Thanks again to many of you for your help and
guidance.
