Nice morning feeder water mallard story.
Do you think a water feature is worth it like dripping water, even a plastic
jug with small hole, or electric pump waterfall thing, etc.
I have concrete bowl of water which needs cleaning almost every couple of days.

feed the birds on a crumbling raised patio built by a prior owner just outside

A pair of mallards come sometimes for the whole corn on the ground and I
noticed the female drink out of the pan frequently. She was by herself this
morning when I got up and she was vigorously And enthusiastically taking a bath
in the little pan. She was flapping and preening and sending water in all
directions and it went on for a number of minutes
Presumably she spends her day in a large body of water where she could do this
anytime. So was this like a spa day? With buffet included? Me time away from
the nest?
