Yay! Our last woodpecker holdout was a hairy woodpecker, and thanks to my
homemade bark butter, we just saw her. Last year we had yellow-bellied
sapsuckers coming to it, but not yet this year. We had huge flocks of robins
and cedar waxwings, and at least two (possibly three) hermit thrushes this
morning. It was nice to see and hear at least seven Eastern bluebirds. (None of
those were on the bark butter.) Happy Birding!
