A small amount of water in McElroy Lake continues to
attract migrants.  Present this morning were:

Least Sandpiper  4
Dunlin  9
Killdeer  430+
Lapland Longspur  4-5
Pipits  150+
Ring-billed Gull  14

A pair of Greater White-fronted Geese was associating
with the local riff-raff (honkers) at Walton's Pond
along Hwy 240 in Warren County.

Present at Barren Reservoir this evening were:

White-winged Scoter  female videotaped
Wood Duck
Green-winged Teal
Mallard
Pintail
Shoveler
Gadwall
Wigeon
Ring-neck
L. Scaup
Bufflehead
H. Merganser
Ruddy
The usual contingent of Ring-billed and Bonaparte's
Gulls.

There were only about 20 loons and a handful of Horned
Grebes on the lake today.  Standing in the same spot
were I counted 748 loons three days ago, I counted 7
with one sweep of the scope today.
