Evaluation and parameterisation of individual-based models of animal
populations

 

This is a 3-year post funded by NERC. We are looking for an energetic and
enthusiastic researcher, with a background in mathematical or computer
modelling and some knowledge of statistics, to join a group of computational
biologists. Applicants need:

 

.                    or expect shortly to have a PhD

.                    appropriate experience in modelling and/or biological
statistics

.                    enthusiam, ideas and ability to organise and prioritise
own workload and build good relationships externally and internally

.                    some experience with research, writing research papers,
giving conference presentations 

.                    some experience of programming

 

Many opportunities exist within biology for researchers with
mathematical/computing skills
