Yesterday a Wilson's Warbler suddenly made an appearance at our yard stream here on Compton Mt. This is only the second time I have recorded that species here. It is only the third recorded sighting of the species within Buchanan County. Other species that came through yesterday were American Redstarts, Blackburnian Warbler, Black-throated Green Warblers, a Chestnut-sided Warbler, a Hooded Warbler, Magnolia Warblers, a beautiful male Prairie Warbler, a Tennessee Warbler, an Eastern Kingbird, Eastern Wood Pewee, Gray Catbird, Indigo Buntings, one without a tail, Scarlet Tanagers, and a Summer Tanager. Photos of the Wilson and some others of those mentioned can be found at http://www.pbase.com/mayhorn/warblers_2009_9_9 Roger Mayhorn Compton Mt Buchanan County
