Today Craig Makufka and I birded Compton Mt and the head of Slate Creek. We had
a great day with 41 species which included 7 warbler species. We heard our FOS
Wood Thrush on the mountain and the House Wren that showed up here yesterday is
still singing.
For the past week or so we have been putting out orange halves in our cherry
tree for the Baltimore Orioles, but from the attached photo you can see that
it's not just orioles that like them.
