Last week's warblers on Guesses Fork included Blackburnian, Black-throated
Green, Black-and-white, Tennessee, Bay-breasted, and Cerulean. Of note were
at least six Blackburnians traveling together. I didn't see any other
species wth them; must have been one of those package tour deals.
Two days ago, Caney Island Branch yielded Hooded and Redstart.
Last week, I spotted Osprey at Poetown and near the post office on Big
Rock. Also, Great Blue Herons were present most days near PO on Big Rock,
including what seemed to be a mated pair.
This morning on Guesses Fork, so far, I've found Tennessee, Redstart,
Magnolia, and Worm-eating warbs, as well as Scarlet Tanager, Peewee,
Red-shouldered and Cooper' s hawks.
Sorry for the delayed reports.
