CORPUS CHRISTI - Cuban star Yulieski Gurriel, who the Astros signed as a
free agent on July 16, will join the Hooks Tuesday for the beginning of a
six-game Texas League homestand.
First pitch is 7:05 vs. Northwest Arkansas.
Over four games at Advanced-A Lancaster from August 2-7, Gurriel hit .429
with two doubles, a home run and nine runs batted in. During his JetHawks
finale Sunday vs. Modesto, Gurriel cracked a grand slam and drove in five
runs.
Gurriel's batting average is .381 (8-for-21) in six games with the Astros
organization overall.
