Hi All,
I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has ever been in charge of setting
up a new library space in the past? Our school will be expanding into two
separate campus's in the 2017-18 school year and will be opening a new
Middle School Library.
As the (new) current Upper School Librarian at Crystal Springs Uplands
School, I am in charge of planning and ordering books and furniture for the
projected space. The school will aim to have 72 students per grade, for a
total of 216 grade 6-8.
If you have any ballpark figures for building a collection essentially from
scratch along with furniture estimates as well as the time required (and
whether or not you were compensated extra) I would love it if you sent them
my way. Any advice/thoughts would help!
