What a great theme. But hard to think of titles that aren't also about
overcoming some sort of challenge. A couple that have elements that I like
are:
- Traitor's kiss - Beatty - adventurous love story (series) with
strong female character with witty dialog and lots of positive messages -
ends in a good place.
- That Self Same Metal - Williams - a fun story set in Shakespearean
London - main character is good at what she does and enjoys life and
fighting monsters - fun adventurous fantasy.
- Tattoos on the Heart - Gregory Boyle - NF - finding joy in
compassion in the barrios - lovely and heartrending all at once.
- Somewhere between bitter and sweet - Kemp - the ending to this is
just joyous - the rest is a coming of age struggle for both protagonists.
