Dan, in a former life, I worked for a power company. In that job, I got to work closely with lighting engineers. I cannot vouch for the practices of Arizona, but I can tell you that back in the Midwest, athletic fields like this were always lit with metal halide fixtures as they give better color rendition on the field, helping players distinguish uniform colors. Without actually going to this site, I would say these are probably metal halide lights. First time I sent this I exceeded the 50-line quote limit. Damn, that's a nuisance. Here's the links to two of the photos she sent me showing those offending lights: http://www.heimhenge.com/downloads/lights-1.jpg http://www.heimhenge.com/downloads/lights-2.jpg -Dan Heim -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
