By the way, due to the 13:8 orbital resonance between the Earth and Venus,
this configuration happens every 8 years.
I was thinking it had been several years since Venus was not only way out
from the Sun at northern Declinations, so it is way-high in the sky, but also
sets well to the northwest now, and will get somewhat farther north in the
coming weeks.
