Steve,

1700 Sounds goo to me. Don't forget the Film. I'll be bringing the Scotch
mount for the Photography demonstration.

Rick;

AJ and I are planning to leave his house around 5 PM if you would like to
join in. We can chat on the CB radio and enjoy some COOL temperatures on
the way up.

For those of you who are not SAC members, this is the Novice Group Meeting.
This Saturday night at Cherry Road, we will gather to set up telescopes and
give those folks who have questions about getting started in astronomy a
chance to get them answered. The main subject will be "Getting started in
astrophotography", but any questions you have are appropriate. If you are
interested, please drive up and join in.

The site is 70 miles north of Phoenix on I-17, take the Cherry Road exit,
just before you start to descend into the Verde Valley. Turn west (left)
over the freeway and go about 5 miles until you see a small green sign that
says "Cherry >". You will turn off the pavement to the south (left), please
note that this is the opposite of the arrow on the Cherry sign. Travel
about half a mile on the dirt road until you see an opening and a metal gate
on the right, go thru the gate and close it behind you. You are at the
observing site, a large field on the west side of the gate.

Please leave town early, we are planning a twilight Q+A session. Also,
dress warm, this site is at about 4500 feet altitude, so it will be quite
cool by 10:00 PM.

Hope to see you there;
Steve Coe
