Wow, 78 yrs. old and still worth over a million dollars! Glad to see it
even went for twice as much as 'Metal Roofing' magazine.

S&T's former publisher, F+W Media, recently went bankrupt while S&T
remained
profitable.  The winning bid to acquire S&T came from the AAS, who already
publish "The Astrophysical Journal" through IOPScience.

At first blush, this seems like great news for amateur astronomers,
particularly those who are pursuing quasi-professional work!
