Manufacturers really need to start coating the inside of their optics
with Zantablack. :)

I got everything from Agena Astro the other day. Everything screws together--
so I got that part right. The resulting extension is about 3mm shorter than
the length of the Celestron SCT T-adapter I was using before. So the sensor
was too far away previously.
Unfortunately, there’s no “slip ring” in the stack of extension tubes
anymore! Whoops! That means I can’t get it on the C6 while the focuser is
attached to the scope! :-( The SCT T-adapter has one that allows me to
position the EFW/camera so that it avoids the focuser. No way to do that with
the new extensions.
I’m not convinced the reducer would work anyway. Starizona says those
circular marks in my previous image with the reducer on is caused by light
reflecting off the C6’s baffle tube. They also said they’ve never seen a
reducer that wouldn’t cause the reflections.
So I guess I’m stuck doing prime focus imaging with a bit of coma.
