I got an Ha filter for my Canon 60 DA last year and didnât have much time to
use it. Over the past several nights I have been imaging with it and a 50 mm
lens. The way this works is you capture RGB images and then extract the red
channel which has the Ha data and process that data. So far I have 21, 15
minute subs taken at ISO 1000, F 2.8. I used Backyard EOS (fabulous software
for the price) and PhD for guiding. By the way, Backyard EOS used to be
exclusively for Canons but theyâve now added a version for Nikon.
Post processing was done with PixInsight, Photoshop and Lightroom.
Thanks
Albert
