Hi,
This is an image of NGC1788. It is a reflection nebula about 1,300 light
years away in the constellation Orion. The reflection nebula is bordered by
the dark nebula Lynds 1616 and slightly resembles a bat spreading its wings.
This image is a collaborative effort with my friend and fellow
astrophotographer Mark Hanson. Mark collected the Luminance data back in
2012 using a 14.5 inch RCOS and an Apogee U16m camera. I added the RGB data
earlier this month using my CDK-17 and an FLI PL16803. This version was
processed by me and I look forward to seeing Mark's version when he gets
time to finish his processing.
