WOW, Tom what great images.  I presume they were taken from your backyard. 
They are a testament on how good the seeing was.

So how good was that seeing last night?  There was a prolonged period in 
which there was some image motion detected at 450x while looking at Mars and 
Saturn, but not much.

I'm not big on calling attention to my planetary images on this list, but at 
least these two images might give an idea that the seeing was well above 
average.  Remember that Mars is only a bit over 11" in diameter these days. 
And no, the seeing didn't make that image of Saturn too green; it's still a 
work in progress.

The images of Mars was taken using about 10 meters of focal length on my 10" 
Newtonan, while the Saturn image used 5 meters.
