We have found out that about 34,000 people are expected to descend onto private
land about 9 miles to the northwest of the site of the Oregon Star Party for
the eclipse. It is an organized international group that has an annual 7-day
"Symbiosis Festival" (http://oregoneclipse2017.com/) described as "..a Burning
Man on Spring Break." OSP and Symbiosis participants will have to share the
same road in and out.
I was planning to lug my 25" up to the OSP but am now not sure. What are some
thoughts about how much an event like this is going to impact the sky and the
ambience at the OSP?
