Hello everyone,
I have decided to part with a very rare telescope. A C-102F. I don't have
to explain to this group how rarely this scope comes up for sale or its
reputation among the more seasoned of us.
I would prefer the buyer be able to examine it closely before purchasing it
so I am offering it up for sale here first. If I do not get any interest I
will eventually put it up on Cloudy Nights. (or decide to keep it)
This scope is not by any means pristine. It is 25+ years old and has been
used, the paint scratches on the tube prove it. It is in its original
condition. It has the original focuser and finder. It is missing the lens
cap and one of the focuser wheels. Lost by the original owner years ago.
When I purchased it I had considered refurbishing it by repainting it and
putting a quality two speed focuser on it but decided against it. Somehow
I think it is "cooler" in the original condition.
Maybe one of you will take on the refurb project or just keep it as it is.
