"Leaving Izar" Admiral Ketchum & Captain Skyler Sitting on the bridge, in the center seat Skyler looked around her. Everyone was in place. Anxious to resume their mission. She could feel the excitement in the air. Finally it was time to get moving. Tapping the console on her arm rest, Skyler contacted Izar control. "Izar this is Captain Skyler of the USS Avalon. We are seeking departure clearance." "Avalon, this is Izar. You are cleared to depart at your convenience. Have a safe journey and may the wind always be behind your sails." "Thank you Izar. It has been a pleasure staying with you. Skyler out." "Helm, begin departure procedures. Once we are clear of the shipyards begin increasing speed to warp 3. Once we are clear of the shipyard let's see what this new ship can do." Keith walked in from the back of the bridge from his office. Phillipa walked through the open lift doors, when it stopped on the bridge, "Sorry, I am late." Keith surprised to see Phillipa, he nodded to her, knowing that if she needed to talk, she would, "Quite alright, Ms. Waterson, we haven't left yet." "Engineering, this is Captain Skyler. We will be leaving Izar momentarily and then we will begin testing this vessel out. Please be advised to keep me posted of anything unusual." Looking over at Tactical she saw James keeping an eye on his console. "Lieutenant, set a course for the previous Avalon and send the coordinates to Helm. It is time to retrieve what we left behind and say good-bye one final time." "Skyler, what about that distress call that we heard, any word on a location, and shouldn't we go to retrieve that first? I'm sure that would be the more prudent location first, the Avalon-B has waited this long, another day or so won't hurt." Phillipa awaited the exact location, but began the launch to leave space-dock, flying straight and true out of the trusses. Moving out of the center seat and back into her own on the right, Skyler looked at Keith. "Welcome to the bridge Sir. As for the distress call we are still trying to determine it's location. I thought that we could pick it up on the way back to the Avalon-B. I haven't forgotten about it. Lieutenant Henderson is working to pin it down. Once he has it, we will tractor the shuttle aboard and hope we find a live person aboard." Skyler wondered to herself if she had made her first big mistake, proving she didn't deserve to be a Captain or have command of her own ship. "Sounds like a plan, carry on, Ms. Waterson, lay in a course to the Avalon-B and engage", Keith sat in his chair.
