BACKGROUND:
Mireille (Mirrie as she is known to most) was born 7809.30 to Michael, a
sheep herder and Martine (wool sales person) in Killarney, Ireland. The
third of four children, Mireille was named for her maternal grandmother.
Mirrie’s mother is French, hence the name.
Mirrie’s sister Eileen is the vice-chairperson for psychology at the
University of Dublin while her brother Sean is an Earth History professor at
the Sorbonne in Paris. Thomas, 4 years Mirrie’s junior, is still at the
Academy majoring in Engineering. Mirrie is fluent in several Romance
languages, including Spanish, French and Italian. She also enjoys some
Gaelic exchanges with her father.

Wanting to put her love of languages to use with an interest in Medicine,
Mirrie decided to apply first to Killarney University and then onto
StarFleet Command. She was accepted and took the next shuttle to San
Francisco. She was fortunate to graduate 4th in her class of 1300.
Proceeding on to StarFleet Medical, Mirrie graduated top of her class, a
clear sign that she had put her SFC time to use. Prior to her arrival to
Delta, Mirrie
had worked at the Université of Paris' Emergency Room as a Triage
specialist, honing her skills in both physical and psychological healing.
Prior to that she also served at the Killarney Hospital's Psychiatric Ward
for 5 months as part of an internship.

Academy and served on an exchange committee between Mintauk III and Earth.
She lived there for a year in hopes of studying their medicine practices and

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE:
Mireille is a talented and gifted person. Her rural upbringing doesn’t
account for her worldliness. It was obvious to this profiler that she was
raised to be her own person. Along with her independent streak, she also has
a temper that has been known to show itself in matters of which Mirrie has a
vested interest. According to the interview she wanted to become a doctor
not only to save lives but also to crusade and pioneer for those who have
not. It would appear that she uses her temper as an impetus for others
around her. In her role as a counselor, her style has been defined as
"relaxed," since she prefers to let the patients work through their problems
and adds input only when most necessary. This has been know to frustrate her
patients a great deal as it causes them to rely more on themselves than they
usually believe they can.
