Hi austechies I'm reposting this job ad as the client has, at last, clarified some outstanding issues. A client needs two technical writers for a 3-month contract: one at Banksmeadow (near Sydney airport) and the other at Lytton (near Brisbane airport). You will be writing and updating operating procedures. The domain is fuel terminals, thus ideally you will have some experience of the oil and petroleum industry. The client is looking for folk who can "read and interpret legislative requirements and convert them into procedures". Some intra-and interstate travel is involved. The audiences for the documentation are truck drivers and oil-terminal apprentices, so you need to be able to write in simple, plain utilitarian English. MS Word is the principal tool, and documents are managed in SharePoint. Start ASAP. Shoot me your CV if interested.
