atw: Six month technical writing contract position

SIX MONTHS CONTRACT, VISION BIOSYSTEMS

We are looking for a Technical Writer preferrably with a scientific background 
to join our organisation, Vision BioSystems (VBS), a division of Vision Systems 
Ltd, internationally recognised as a leader in the development of automated 
instruments for histopathology.  Reporting to the Lead Technical Writer and 
being part of the Innovation team, your role will be to create technical 
documentation for service personnel and users of scientific instruments.  You 
will be creating complex instructional documentation, electronic online help 
systems and assisting with translation projects. You may also be involved in 
developing sales, marketing and training documents.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

        ·       Demonstrable high quality written communication skills, 
including paper and electronic media;
        ·       A tertiary qualification and/or industry exposure in science or 
engineering;
        ·       The ability to produce quality material within tight deadlines;
        ·       The ability to liaise across all areas of the business and;
        ·       A flexible approach enabling you to work in a dynamic 
environment with shifting priorities.

Experience with Adobe FrameMaker 7.1 and common graphics packages such as Corel 
Draw would be an advantage as would experience creating on-line help 
documentation.
