We just left the wonderful world of Word and .rtf wrestling for the brave new world of Frame and WebWorks, so I'd be interested in hearing your reasons for changing. It occurs to me--after getting to grips with the basics of WebWorks--that what I *really* want is an easy-to-use online development tool that'll take my *online source* and create really nice looking documentation for *print and PDF*. When we were evaluating tools, I was tempted by AuthorIt, but really put off by the standard of the conversion to print doco. I know that it's probably just a matter of developing nice print-oriented templates, but the only good-looking print doco I've ever seen came from FrameMaker. -----Original Message----- From: Anna Tedborn [mailto:AnnaT@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, 12 August 2004 1:56 PM To: 'austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: atw: RoboHelp vs HDK? We're considering leaving WebWorks behind and acquire another Help application. From what we've heard our options seems to be between RoboHelp and HDK, of which we know absolutely nothing of either. We use FrameMaker for word processing and we need the output to be one single file. Any thoughts anyone?
