Arts students calling themselves "communications" students.
(I think that means they are the ones who don't have the personality to
be Arts students).

Craig Hadden wrote: Even films and radio etc typically start life as a
written script.

I went to a live taping of a new TV show on the ABC on Tuesday night.
Three couples dance 6 different routines in different dance styles and
get scored out of ten for each. It was all a bit disorganised but it was
their first go at the show.

I remember thinking a good tech-communicator would do wonders with what
passed for a script on their autocue with some simple attention to
detail! They 'averaged' scores from three judges (instead of totalling
them) which gave them a score of e.g. 27! The host, Paul McDermott,
picked up the error but he was so flustered he fluffed his lines about
four times while we all snored in the audience. Plus, whomever was
programming the fancy animated display on the scoreboard took forever to
get the scores in, making me to think I could do a quicker job myself
had they let me into the computer room.

It would be interesting to know who takes care of such things behind the
scenes in TV/Film and what the job titles are. Does anyone have any
experience in this area?
