Pressing Ctrl+D adds the currently-displayed URL to the Favorites menu. But there's a quick way to specify where to put a URL shortcut. Just drag the page icon (from next to the word "Address" in the Address Bar) onto the desktop or into a folder. (Works in IE, and I believe in some other browsers too.) P.S. Many thanks to the other "tippers" out there!
