atw: Another PDF question for the gurus

I have a set of hyperlinked word documents that compile into a Word parent
document.  So the hyperlink paths are set to *.doc.

When I convert, they are still set to *.doc.

Is there anyway I can either convert them automatically to *.pdf during the
conversion, or run something in PDF to change them all from *.doc to *.pdf?
