VPIsystems (www.vpisystems.com) is seeking a technical writer to join its
Melbourne office to prepare documentation and training material for
VPIsystems' range of telecommunications software products.
Mandatory skills and experience
* 5+ years experience as a technical writer
* Experience working in a software development environment
* Above average competency in the use of Adobe Framemaker (preferably
version 6 or higher)
* Experience using Adobe Acrobat in preparing documents for printing
* Experience using a help authoring tool HAT (preferably WebWorksPublisher)
to produce online help systems (including context-sensitive help)
Desirable skills and experience
* Experience authoring or editing API documentation
* Experience using an API document-generation tool (such as Document! X or
Doxygen)
* Familiarity with telecommunications transmission networks (SONET/SDH/WDM)
and equipment
Start ASAP. Salary negotiable (commensurate with experience).
