suppliers I quoted, asking for their response. Should be interesting!

I suggest that you CC your little exercise to Dymocks marketing
department, with some indication of the number of subscribers to the
austechwriter list - perhaps with a suggestion that they might like to
consider what they could do to address a potentially patriotic market of
writers that still face supply and demand problems where shekels and the
availability of the books are concerned.
