[audacity4blind] .wav doesn't know German

Hi!
I noticed that German umlauts in the meta data are converted to their
respective trigger vowels, e.g. u-umlaut to u, o-umlaut to o, when exporting
to wav. This does not occur when exporting to mp3. What could be the reason?
Is there a fix for this?
