Interesting! What host do you use for your input device in Audacity?
If you are using the automatic mapper, assuming it is available with your
host, maybe there is some conflict with what your browser is using for a
sound device. Do you record directly into that website? What browser do
you use?
Best,
David

Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: sound problem finally solved
Hi.
I had some problems. audacity didn't record and played sound.
I just got strange, loud noices from the speakers.
I tried to fix this several Days.
I almost gave up, then I did this restore thing, and now it works!
The problem I had is at
http://www.dreamwld.com/strange_sound.mp3
I'm recording there from Another program, so first there is my screen
reader, and then the audacity noice.

I finally solved the problem I had with sounds in audacity.
I installed it again and selected recet preferences.
then it worked.
how can it be like this?
Before It didn't work with installed audacity, and portable audacity,
now it works perfectly.
