First, I didn't know MME was the default. Now I do.
I did a "System restore" and the thing is working again.

Hello.
What operating system are you using?
If you are using windows 7 or latter, the default settings for the program,
being MME as host device and line in as recording device should work fine.
You may have to review your settings. Hope that helps.

Hi guys
I'm trying to use Audacity to record from tapes to MP3
As of yesterday it was working great.
Now, under preferences I can't get it to show "line in," which is what
I use. The interface host is Windows Direct Sound.
The only 3 choices for recording device I'm getting are "primary sound
capture driver," microphone or "Stereo mix."
How do I get it to show "line in?" and if that happens should I be
able to record as before?
