I would suggest listening to Chapter 1 of my Internet tutorial. the tutorial is old now but the basic information in the navigation chapter is still valid. One of the main reasons I created my tutorial is because I observed that Internet navigation is an area that causes a lot of blind people problems because of poor or inadequate training or because they haven't found good instructional material on this subject. I therefore placed a lot of emphasis on effective and efficient navigation. You can't work with the on line web pages I use in my tutorial because the tutorial is old enough that the pages have changed. Of course, the examples I include as part of the tutorial itself can still be worked with. but just listening to the on line examples in Chapter 1 may well be useful even though you can't see the same or similar pages online any longer. I'm suggesting chapter 1 specifically because you asked about navigation and because for later chapters, there are certain things that have changed in screen-readers. If you know about such changes, such as auto forms mode on and off, you can work with the later chapters. If you don't, you may have problems. Also, look at the first part of the read me file to get a good understanding of how to work with the tutorial and to see if there are any notes on Chapter 1. I would appreciate this. If there's a problem loading VST plugins, then you could try this to quickly find out. When the install VST effects dialog opens, tab to the clear all button and press it. Then tab to the ok button and press it. This will start Audacity without loading any VST plugins. David. Everything seems to be well until the end of the installation, but when I try to run the program a dialog box comes. "audasity is starting up press enter to install VST plug ins" and when I press enter nothing happens, and I have to use task manager to close it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. This happens on both Win 7 and Xp. Thank you. Peter.
