I'm not sure how much we get to say in here but here goes.
can we get midi implimented? I'm not sure if you guys have heard of qws, but something that can do simple sequencing of vsts would be amazing in audacity. also, if we could have realtime effects along with the select and apply destructive effects would be awesome.
so for example, we apply a vst to a track and while we're setting our perimeters we hear the changes in real time, we would still need the current ability to select portions of tracks and apply effects to them hole sale though, but it would be incredible if we could do it both ways.
and well that would mean that we have real time access to vsts I guess, hopefully I'm not crossing any lines with my suggestions, but audacity is amazing and I've been using it for a while now and these are just some other cool things that if implimented in audacity, I wouldn't look back.
another thing I would like if not already understood, is the ability to use and manipulate soft synths, so software instruments, and well this ties back in with sequencing etc.

Sounds good to me, but, maybe unlabeled, instead of label track?

Stay well

wanted

Hi,
based on suggestions by Robert Hänggi, these are a couple of proposed
changes to the names of tracks read out by screen readers:
1. For audio tracks, if the track is stereo, left, or right, then these
words are spoken immediately after the name of the track. So if you had a
track "intro music", and it was stereo, then it would be read as "intro
music stereo". If the track is mono, then that word isn't spoken.
2. For Label tracks, if the track has its default name - you haven't changed
its original name, then the two words "label track" are spoken after the
name of the track, for example, "track 3 label track". If you change the
name of the track, to for example "labels", then the words "label track" are
not spoken.

I know that when changes to track names were raised in the past, there were
concerns about increasing the verbosity too much. I hope that the above
changes may provide valuable information without increasing the verbosity
too much.
Any feedback about these changes is welcome, preferably as soon as possible,
as the changes for the next version of Audacity are going to be finalized
within the next few days,

thanks,
David.
