thanks so much for this research, sadly I have checked that Nyquist effects are
on, going as far as to turn them on then off again in the hope that the plug
ins would repopulate the plugin register file which I had deleted. Stil, no
joy. It is rather bizzare as I believe that a few if not all of the nyquist
aren’t being found despite my mad efforts of switching them on and off.

In recent versions of Audacity it is possible to disable different types of
plug-ins. Click-Track is a Nyquist plug-in, so if Nyquist plug-ins are
disabled in Preferences it will not show up in the menu. (Edit menu >
Preferences > Effects)

Hello there…
I’m hoping you can help me. I’m trying to get click tracks working in
audacity. I have located the folder in which the plug ins exist,
username/library/applicationsupport/audacity/plugins… And I can find the
nyquist plug in to generate a click track in there but, when I go to the
manage in the generate menu it isn’t listed, in fact, I don’t think any of
the nyquist plugins are listed.
Can anyone please help… Pulling out my hair. :)
