БЪЛГАРСКАТА ЛИТЕРАТУРА в ПРЕВОД след 1989 г.:
състояние и възможни политики
на 18 май 2011 г., сряда, от 14:00 до 17:00 ч. в залата на Гьоте-Институт
София, ул. Будапеща 1
Повод за дискусията е публикуваният по поръчка на фондация „Следваща страница”
доклад „Превод и преход. Българската литература в превод (1989-2010):
статистики, коментари, препоръки”. При подготовката на доклада са събрани
библиографски данни за преводните издания от български език и са анкетирани
ключови посреднически фигури (преводачи, издатели, чуждестранни българисти,
институции). За първи път се предлага базиран на данни стратегически анализ -
както на случилото се през последните 20 години, така и на възможните бъдещи
политики за подкрепа на участието на България в глобалната литературна
комуникация.
Каним ви да отворим отново дискусията за това какви са подходящите, реалистични
и ефективни мерки, които държавните, частните и граждански институции биха
могли да предприемат за по-плътното участие на българската литература в
световния обмен на преводи.
На кръглата маса ще бъдат представени и програмите за подкрепа на превода на
Румънски културен институт (Румъния) и Министерство на културата на Сърбия.
За участие и коментар са поканени представители на държавни, общински и
международни институции, български автори, преводачи и издатели. Подробна
програмата на кръглата маса и прессъобщение може да намерите в прикачените
файлове или да изтеглите тук.
Пълният текст на доклада може да бъде изтеглен тук. Печатното му издание ще
бъде на разположение в деня на дискусията.

The Next Page Foundation has the pleasure of inviting you to a round table
discussion on:
Promotion of Bulgarian Literature in Translation after 1989:
current situation and future policies
on the 18th May 2011, Wednesday, from 2 pm to 5 pm in Goethe Institute – Sofia,
Budapest str. 1
(simultaneous translation from/into English will be provided for the whole
duration of the round table)
The round table is meant to discuss the newly published study of Next Page
Foundation „Translation and Transition. Bulgarian literature in translation
(1989-2010): data, observations, recommendations”. The study is based on
bibliographic data of translations published after 1989 as well as on numerous
interviews with key mediators that make literary translations from Bulgarian
possible (translators, publishers, institutions). This is the first ever
research-based policy paper on the issue that analyzes translation trends in
the past 20 years and suggests policy approaches towards a better support for
Bulgarian participation in the global literary communication.
Thereby, we invite you to reopen the discussion on promotion of Bulgarian
literature abroad by debating on the appropriate, sustainable and effective
means by which public, private and civil organizations can contribute to an
increased access of Bulgarian literature to the global translations flow.
Participants from the Romanian Cultural Institute in Bucharest and the Ministry
of Culture of Serbia will present programs on literary translations promotion
from Romania and Serbia.
The round table is open for participation and input from international, public
and municipal organizations as well as writers, translators and publishers. The
program of the round table could be found in the attached files or downloaded
here.

A printed copy will be at disposal for round table participants on the 18th
May.
